The winner received £10,000 and was owned by Mr Stephen O'Flaherty, trained by Stephen Quirke and ridden by Stephen Quirke. Kingfisher was first passed the post but was disqualified and placed second. The winner won by 1 1/2 lengths in 1 minute 53.5 seconds, with 1 length between second and third.
